Since 1977, People for Parks has identified and funded over $2million in  special projects and events that improve Minneapolis and its parks. Projects like the Showmobile, the Minneapolis Peace Garden, concerts in the parks, the picnic shelter at Lake Harriet, the mobile recreation van, chess tables, the benches and plaza at Lake Harriet, and hundreds of trees throughout the city.
